Sonamy: Sonic's Mermaid

The whole of the ship rocked relentlessly back and forth as it fell from the sky. Sonic the Hedgehog, still on board the ship when the engine failed, stumbled as he staggered through the hall. "This thing feels like it's breaking apart! I'd better get outta here!" he said. There was a blast from just behind him as part of the Egg Carrier split off and sent Sonic falling forward. He broke his fall and just as quickly got back up
Trying to maintain his balance, Sonic began running the rest of the way down the hall as the Egg Carrier set off another explosion from the inside. Sonic held his arms over his head, blocking the debris and flames that were caressing the ceiling and dashed out onto the outside bridge. Instantly, the rain pelted at his back. Opening his eyes, he realized immediately there was nowhere for him to go. None of his friends were with him and even Eggman himself had abandoned the ship already

"I should've caught that ride with Tails" Sonic said, panic starting to edge into his voice. Again, the ship lurched and the mast came crashing down, almost striking Sonic. "It's no use! I don't have a choice. I'll just have to jump for it and hope I have a safe landing" Sonic said. As Sonic strained to keep his footing, there was another loud blast and Sonic felt the floor beneath him give way. Sonic jumped away and then took another big leap to the edge of the ship. "(I hope I'm right...)" he thought, cringing at the thought of just jumping from the mega battleship. As the ship rocked again, Sonic knew he had no choice. Taking a deep breath, he charged forwards and lept just as the edge of the ship exploded in flames, sending charred steel and poor Sonic away from the falling ship
Sonic's hopes of a safe landing were dashed. Sonic found himself tumbling head over heels through mist-obscured air, bits and chunks of the Egg Carrier falling all round him. Sonic struggled to avoid them but it was hopeless. A large scrap of metal came past him and as Sonic flipped over to avoid it, the very tip of the shattered wing clipped him across his head near his right ear, leaving a deep gash and drawing a lot of blood. The blow knocked the wind from Sonic and left him dazed. He began falling head-first towards the Earth. Only then did he vaguely see where he was falling..... the ocean

"Oh.....no...." Sonic gasped. Fading in and out of consciousness, Sonic glanced at the falling Egg Carrier. It was further away from him now; the blast had knocked him a ways away from the mangled heap of metal. The last Sonic managed to grasp of the machine was an explosion of sea water as his body, too was swallowed by the sea. He couldn't help himself, he was too dazed and weak to make the fight back to the surface. Bleeding and his breath giving out, Sonic slowly sank deeper and deeper into the dark water. "I guess....this is how the.. legend of speed meets his end..." he said

As his world was going black, Sonic thought he could hear a familiar voice calling to him. "Sonic..." it said. Sonic slowly opened his eyes again. He thought he saw something far off that was swimming closer to him. But his vision was so badly hazed, he couldn't make it out right away. However, the creature approaching him seemed to bear the colors of red and pink. And then he heard the voice again: "Sonic" it said. "A.....Amy?" Sonic said
The creature swam closer to Sonic. It was in fact Amy, but there was something different about her. She wasn't wearing her usual red ress. Instead, there was a lovely glimmer tail in the place of her lower half and her lovely pink hair had grown longer and flowing. "Amy.... Is it.... you?" Sonic asked. Amy moved up to Sonic and placed her hands against his cheeks. "Sonic. I'm here, Sonic" she said. "Amy....." Sonic gasped again. He was growing weaker, and couldn't hold on much longer. Amy placed her arms around him, pulling him closer to her. "Don't be afraid, Sonic. I'm always here for you" she said

Then Sonic felt her lips touching his. The feeling was so cool and gentle, Sonic suddenly felt his pain slipping from him. The tense feeling in his lungs was replaced by a gentle, relaxing feeling, as though Amy's kiss was enabling him to breathe. Sonic let his eyes close again, letting himself relax, and wrapped his arms around Amy too, letting her go on kissing him with the gentle flow of the water surrounding them
