Holiday Delights

My favorite recipe that we make each year. Every Christmas, my mother and I work to bake all kinds of our favorite holiday recipes and it usually involves the boatload of Christmas Cookies. These sugar-cookie cutouts are among my favorite even if they are a lot of work. The image shown here was the year I decided to be a bit more creative with the decorating and used several different kinds of colored icing to add all the little details. Most of these I did by myself, and yes, it was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it in the end.

For those wondering, my Mom had the idea of doing the swirl/drizzle designs on the star, the tree and the candycane that you see here. I didn't think of that, but it was a great idea either way.
